Hello everyone!
Today’s pattern is probably one of my favourites (I think I say that all the time).
You guys know how much I love making baby blankets and this one is by far one of my favourites.
The colour combinations are amazing and the texture is even better!
Save this pin, crochet later!
This blanket was made by holding two strands of yarn together. The primary colour is the variegated and beautiful Mandala ombré, which is a category 4 (worsted weight) and the off-white/creamy colour is a category 3 (DK weight).
This is a beautiful combination because one is lighter than the other, making this blanket super light and not stiff at all, which is what you want when making a baby blanket.
Combining a primary colour with a white/creamy one will always make the colours a little bit softer, so keep that in mind when choosing a colour for your blanket.
I highly recommend using a worsted weight as the primary colour and a DK for the white.
If you want to make this blanket even simpler, you can just use one strand of bulky weight and it will probably give the same results.
Now let’s talk about the texture, this blanket has a beautiful yet simple texture.
Would you believe me if I tell you that this blanket was made using only single crochet stitches?
This is one of the projects that are perfect for beginners just starting to crochet, you only need to know how to do chains and single crochet, other than that, this blanket is a one-row repeat project.

I’m so excited about this one 😀. How many skeins-ish for the large throw do you think?
