Hello hello!
How are you guys coping with these cold winter days/nights?
Holy cow it’s cold outside. Yup, nobody likes going outside without a cozy layer, am I right?
And I don’t know about you, but I also like to look good, so if we add coziness + style = knit neckwarmers!
You read that right, I can’t wait for you to make this super chunky cowl. It’s oh, so warm and cozy!
Not ready to crochet yet? Pin this image to Pinterest, and crochet later!

I made this neck warmer in less than 1 hour. No, you don’t have to knit at a super speed, here’s the secret, we are using super duper chunky needles and also double-strand yarn, so yes, it goes by super fast!
I have a similar pattern that I made 2 winters ago, if you want to check it out, I will leave the link here, it’s the Below Zero Neck Warmer, also cozy, also stylish, so you can knit both!
It is also great if you don’t like scarves, if you don’t like things wrapped around, impossible to tuck under, etc.
That’s what’s great about neck warmer, they’re easy peasy to wear, easy to put on, and easy to take out.
From a busy mom to another, you will love this cowl. I know, we need the quickest outfits, but hey! we also want to look good.

For this neck warmer, I used 2 skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick, in the colorway Butterscotch. This is a category #6 super bulky weight yarn. We are working holding two strands of yarn together.
If you would like the ad-free printable pattern PDF, you can get it from My Shop or Etsy.

Patterns
Using the long-tail cast-on method while holding two strands of yarn together
CO 35 + 1 to join and work in the round. Make sure to do it loosely.
Round 1: K 1 [P 1, K 1]. Repeat all the way around (35)
Round 2: P 1 [K 1, P 1]. Repeat all the way around (35)
Now, alternate rounds 1 and 2 for a total of 38 rounds.
Once you’re done, cast off your stitches. I like using a crochet hook, but if you don’t have one, that’s totally fine, just do it with your needles. Just make sure to not do it super tight.

And now you’re done! As simple as that, now you can make this cowl in every colour! You can even use two different strands of yarn to make a nice colour combination.
