Happy Tuesday everyone! Are you guys ready for today’s free pattern?
This is probably the most wanted pattern from this Andes Collection and I’m so excited to finally bring it to you.
This beautiful beanie was designed in collaboration with Clover USA so as you can imagine all the tools I used to create these beanies are from this amazing brand!
Pin now, crochet later!
Every single thing I used will be listed down below for you 🙂
In this project, I will use category #5 Bulky weight yarn, which makes it really quick to work with.
If you don’t have any bulky yarn or you’d like to use Worsted weight from your stash, you can also use that by holding two strands of yarn together.
Keep in mind that by using two strands together your project most likely will be a bit tighter.
Remember always to share your final product using the hashtag #TheAndesBeanie and tag me on Instagram or Facebook. We can’t forget how important it is to give credit to the designer and share their videos/blogs. This way you are supporting my work and I can continue offering you FREE patterns and videos!
Another detail I would like to mention is that even though this is a very simple stitch, it does look like a knitting project but NO!, it’s CROCHET!
Now, let’s get started!

Once you’re done, leave a long tail to sew the hat (1 meter should be enough).
Sew the side of the hat as shown in the video. Once reaching the top make a few knots with the yarn tail from the foundation chain. Then continue with the current yarn to close the top of your hat. Pass the yarn through the top in zig zag, then pull gently to close, bring the yarn and tapestry needle inside the hat. Make a few knots and secure the yarn, weave in the ends and cut the remaining yarn.
Once that is ready, turn your hat inside out, fold the brim and you are DONE!
