Quick & easy Crochet Paine headband
Hello hello!
Market season is around the corner and you know what that means! We need to make items to sell that are pretty and also quick to make.
The tutorial/pattern that I’ll be sharing with you today, is both of those things, super easy & quick to make and also very pretty!
The Paine headband is the first item for this mini collection. Followed by the Alpine beanie and bonnet that will be available in the upcoming weeks.

This headband is ridiculously quick to make, making it the perfect item to bring to markets this fall/winter.
I have said it before and I’ll say it again, headbands are the PERFECT and BEST item to sell at markets and here is why:
- They are super quick to make
- You need a small amount of yarn to make them
- You can price them cheaper than beanies, making them very attractive to customers
- Most moms would prefer a headband over a beanie (messy bun life, IYKYK)
- They are great as gifts
Chunky yarn makes everything faster!
This headband was made with super bulky yarn, and the reason behind is, one, to make it faster, two, so it’s warmer around your ears in the cold winter months.
Easy on the go project
Because this project is so small and requires a very small amount of yarn, it is so easy to bring it on the go.
With one skein of yarn, you can make 2 headbands, which is perfect when you don’t want to bring a huge bag with yarn.

Special Stitches
Herringbone single crochet: Single crochet, before continuing to the next stitch, insert your hook in the last loop of the stitch from the left, now you have 3 loops on your hook. Continue working on the next stitch as usual. Repeat for each stitch.
Back loop only: You are inserting your hook in the back loop of the stitch only, as opposed to the normal way where you would insert your hook in both loops (front and back).
Pattern
Adult headband
Ch 49
Note: Work the first row in the back bumps of your ch.
Row 1: hsc in the second ch from the hook, repeat all the way down the ch (48). Ch 1 and turn.
Row 2: hsc in the blo all the way across until the last st. Hsc normal in the last st. (48)
Row 3-7: Repeat row 2
Note 1: I crocheted 7 rows because I like the look of a very wide headband, this is a personal preference so if you want to adjust this you can totally do it.
Once you’re done cut the yarn; leaving a long tail to sew the ends together
Fold both ends together, and carefully sew them, making sure you’re not missing any spots, or else it will leave a small hole and we don’t want that.
Then fasten off and weave in the ends.
