New pattern! I feel like it has been a while since the last time that I uploaded a video for you guys!
The Greta beanie video was filmed a month ago or so, I just didn’t have the time to edit it and write the pattern down. But here I am, doing it for you guys!
Pin now, knit later!
This beanie was made using Super bulky weight yarn. I also made it with Bulky weight yarn, so you guys will have two yarn options.
As you can see in the picture above, this is a very pretty design, it is made using the colorwork technique, very popular on sweaters.
In order to make this beanie, you will need to know how to knit a basic hat, how to change colours (I show you exactly how I do it in my video), and how to knit in the round.
This is not a beginner-friendly hat, however, it is very easy to learn how to do it.

Video tutorial
Note:
As you can see in the video, I chose to knit the ribbing with 9 mm and the body with 10 mm knitting needles. This is totally optional, if you don’t want to use two different sizes, you don’t have to. Choose either 9 mm or 10 mm. Both work just fine.
Super Bulky Pattern
Using the long tail cast on method, cast on 44 stitches (add one more if you need to join the round).
Ribbing
Row 1: Color A – *K1, P1. Repeat from * to the end.
Row 2-6: Repeat row 1.
Body
For the next 14 rows, follow the graphic below.
Please note that each square equals 1 stitch. Follow the colour pattern.
When done with row 14, now you are going to K with colour A until row 22.
Row 23: *K 2, Dec 1. Repeat from * to the end.
Row 24: K all the way around.
Row 25: *K 1, Dec 1. Repeat from * to the end.

Now using your tapestry needle, take all the stitches left on your knitting needles.
Pull the thread and close the opening.
Weave in all the ends.
Add pompom and tag if you’d like.
