Hello everyone!
I’m so happy to introduce to you the Everyday Scarf.
If you have been following me for a while, you already know that I love making easy crochet pieces, the ones that we can finish within a weekend.
I would absolutely love to create a collection, where we learn how to crochet one stitch and then we create different projects with it.
We did it with the Andes Collection, we crocheted 4 different projects using only one stitch and it seems that you guys loved it! The most popular one with over 1 million views is the Andes Headband and the second most popular one is the Andes Beanie.
We will see if time is on our side to create a full collection.
Pin it now, crochet later!
I’m sure you are going to love this pattern!
Today, we are going to start off with the Everyday scarf, a beautiful and simple design, perfect for winter or the transition from fall-winter.
I crocheted this scarf using 2 colours. The main colour or colour A will be the one you will see the most as 3/4 of the scarf is crocheted with this colour. Colour B is the secondary colour, only the last portion of the scarf is crocheted using this colour.
You can absolutely skip this and only use 1 colour if you’d like. Though the scarf has a very nice “transition” colour sequence that you won’t wanna miss or skip.
As for materials, I used category 4, worsted weight yarn.
This is the perfect winter project, very mindless/effortless and you can finish it in one weekend!
As always, I will leave the link to the Ad-free PDF pattern right here, so you can get yourself a copy and crochet on the go! Download it and save it to your phone/iPad/computer or print it out 🙂

Pattern
Start with your foundation chain.
Using colour A, chain 36
Row 1: Skip 2 chains (counts as 1 sc), work [1 hdc, 1 dc] into next ch, *skip 2 ch, work [1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc] into next chain. Repeat from * to last 3 ch, skip 2 ch and sc into the last chain.
Row 2: Ch 1 (counts as 1 sc), turn your work. Now work [1 hdc, 1 dc] into the very first st available, *skip 2 sts, work [1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc] into the next st. Repeat from * to last 3 sts, skip 2 sts and sc into the last sts.
Row 3-190: Repeat row 2.
Note: Now we are going to switch colours, you will crochet a few rows with colour A and a few with colour B. If you want to crochet the scarf entirely with one colour, that’s also fine, just continue crocheting with the same colour.
Row 191: Repeat row 2 using colour B
Row 192-196: Repeat row 2 using colour A
Row 197 y 198: Repeat row 2 using colour B
Row 199-201: Repeat row 2 using colour A
Row 202-204: Repeat row 2 using colour B
Row 205 y 206: Repeat row 2 using colour A
Row 207-210: Repeat row 2 using colour B
Row 211: Repeat row 2 using colour A
Row 212-246: Repeat row 2 using colour B
Add the fringes
Now is the time to add the fringes, cut pieces of yarn and attach them to your project. Remember that whatever size you want your fringes to be, you have to cut double in size.
I added 3 pieces of yarn per fringe.
Make sure to attach the fringes of the corresponding colour on each side of your scarf.
And that’s it! That is how you can make this beautiful and simple scarf!
