Hello hello!
New week, new pattern & tutorial!
This week, I have a very easy and fun project that you can make in less than an hour and it is very versatile.
I will teach you how to crochet two different towels/cloths.
The best of all is that they’re very simple to make, I’m using basic stitches to create beautiful textures.
Pin now, crochet later!
The first one was made using the Front Post Double Crochet stitch, which might sound complicated but I promise, it isn’t.
How can I use these towels?
The possibilities are endless, but let me give you a few ideas:
- As a hand/face towel
- Makeup remover towel
- Dish Cloth/Towel
- To dry dishes
- To clean surfaces/furniture
- To include in a nice Spa Set
These towels are not just simple to make, they also make the perfect last-minute gift. You can create a nice Spa set, make a couple of them, wrap them with Yute and include a handmade soap. The perfect gift for Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc…
I would recommend making them with 100% cotton yarn, as it is easy to clean, dry very well and will last for a long time.
As always, I will leave the Ad-Free Pattern PDF for you to purchase, this version also includes crochet charts which are so very helpful!

At the end of each pattern, I will mention how to calculate the number of chains required for each pattern, that way you can make them any sizes you’d like.
Patterns
Note: In order to make the first pattern, you need to know how to do the FPDC stitch. Please watch the video tutorial to learn how.
Front Post Double Crochet
Start with your foundation chain
Chain 39
Row 1: Work 1 sc into 2nd chain from the hook, 1 sc into each chain to end, turn.
Row 2: Chain 1, work 1 sc into each sc to end, turn.
Row 3: Chain 1, work 1 sc into each of the next 2 sts, [1 fpdc, 1 sc into each of the next 2 sts], repeat to end of the row, turn.
Row 4: Chain 1, work 1 sc into each st to end of the row, turn.
Row 5: Repeat row 3.
Row 6: Repeat row 4.
Now continue alternating rows 3 and 4 until your fabric measures 10″ long or until the desired length.
Once you’re done, cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
Note: To modify the width of this pattern, you will need a chain multiple of 3 + 3.
Combined Stitches
Start with your foundation chain
Chain 40
Row 1: Work 1 sc into 4th chain from hook, [1 dc, 1 sc], repeat to end of the row.
Row 2: Chain 3 (count as a dc), skip the first st, [1 sc into the next st, 1 dc], repeat across, ending with 1 sc in the turning chain, turn.
Row 3: Repeat row 2
Now repeat row 2 until your fabric measures 10″ long or until the desired length
Once you’re done, cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
Note: To modify the width of this pattern, you will need a chain with even numbers.
And now you’re done! As simple as that, now you can make them non-stop! I can’t wait to see the colours that you guys will choose for these projects!
If you make them, don’t forget to tag me on social media, you can find me as @CJ para que todos podamos ver tus hermosas creaciones!
