Hello hello!
Do you guys remember the beloved Costa beanie? The one I posted 5 years ago?
Well, that was my very first (or maybe second?) crochet beanie. And I didn’t do the full pattern (only adult size, I think?). Anyway, I have been crocheting the Super Bulky version for some time now, but for some reason (don’t ask me why) I haven’t shared the pattern!
No, no because I didn’t want to, just because I keep forgetting or I have another pattern *more exciting* than this classic beanie to share.

This beanie is simple, and takes little to no time to make and guess what, it is perfect for market prep!
Yes, you read that right. I’m in the middle of market prep and this beanie is one of those staple beanies in my inventory. You already know me, when preparing for markets, I need a nice-looking beanie, that I can make in an hour or under so I can make a bunch!
The Costa beanie is easy, quick to make and oh-so-cozy!
A one-ball project
No matter what size you want to make, you only need one ball of Wool-Ease Thick & Quick to make this beanie.
Just keep in mind, that not all colours have the same amount of yarn in them, so make sure you are getting the ones with 170g in them.
With that, you can make the adult size and any size below!
Another good reason to make this beanie, am I right?
Market best-sellers
I already said it, but I will repeat this over and over, if you are planning on attending markets, signing up for a market, or selling online, you need to be strategic about the products you bring, I always recommend finding beanies that are pretty (obviously), but that are also simple & quick to make, this will allow you to make more of them, quicker and make more money 🙂
This beanie is also super warm, as it has a folded brim, making it perfect for cold winter months (especially here in Canada).
You can add a nice pompom or leave it as is, whatever your preferences are, this beanie will be a best-seller, for sure!

Hi Daniela,
I absolutely love this beanie pattern and working on the 0-3 month size. Quick question – when it says to repeat rows 2 and 3 until you get 14 rows; does that include the initial rows 1-3? In other words is it 14 rows in total or is the repeat 14 rows? I hope my question makes sense. Thank you and I look forward to your response. Donna

Hi there! No, just rows 2 and 3. You alternate them until you completed the indicated numbers of rows.
